The long and short of it noisy and smelly much like I think of most urban places to be fair.Nice little overview book Good for giving an introduction to Medieval Towns, and has a short bibliography at the back so you can explore further with those as a starting point.Written accessibly and with some potentially unintended humour could just be me There were over or two sightly jarring sentences due to structure, but otherwise clear.
