  1. The groper in the library story ends at the beginning of this volume Komaki figured out what made the man target Marie and asks Iku to play the right kind of bait Unfortunately, she is not able to fight back as she normally would because of high heels, this is why I ve never seen the use for them The next story is in the anime, so I was expecting it It is time for our three lower ranked officers to take the test for their next ranking While it s all but a walk in the park for Shibazaki, for Iku [...]

  2. This series is so lovely but it annoys me that it is only published about twice a year Last volume was spectacular and volume 9 follows suit The book starts off by quickly wrapping up the groper problem left hanging at the end of V8 then takes on a new direction Kasahara comes to a conclusion about her life which sets her relation with Dojo on a new grounding This is cute and explored throughout This book also gets back into some much needed story plot that does not revolve around the budding ro [...]

  3. I was worried that the romance angle of this series would get dull and stupid after Iku figured out you know what, but I m glad I stuck with the series I m thoroughly in love and wondering how long it will take them to translate the next volume to English.Although the romance would be cliched if it were by itself, it s entwined so well with the very interesting threads of war and books that it adds a good element of charm and drama The romance complicates the other plots or vice versa instead of [...]

  4. I was hoping that by now she would ve told Dojo that she knows but she is still trying to come to terms with the info Also with all the stuff going on right now, she s got things on her mind, like being touched by a perv Something I love about Iku, she is so strong, she never gives up, and no one is going to stop her from doing what she thinks is right All the characters are this way and I just love that this manga in filled with such wonderful strong characters That s one of the best things ab [...]

  5. This series is so wonderful It s my favorite manga series, the first one I ever read too.It s about the near future where there are two groups of people fighting over book rights One things anything with the slightest thing offensive or magical should be banned While the others things people should have the right to read what they choose The library wars. When she was defended during a book raid by a stranger Iku Kasahara decided to join the library task force to protect books, like her Prince di [...]

  6. This volume concentrates on furthering the romance plot between Iku and Dojo Iku now trying to let Dojo know she loves him and has outgrown her prince Dojo having several scenes where he can hardly keep himself from hugging or kissing her, she s so cute and enthusiastic. There s a lovely bit where Tezuka, Iku AND Shibazaki have to do a practical test of reading to children to move up to corporal in the ranks Just a great way of highlighting how they work Some lovely further development of the rom [...]

  7. see full review Katie s CornerHave you been waiting for this one As I promised to review it back in 2016 as soon as I received the last volume, but I didn t receive it until summer and as you all know, whatever I read and reviewed during summer, saw the light only now Though if you have been following the blog s Facebook page you would have seen me posting my favourite scenes along the way Mostly they were all from last 2 volumes and usually kiss scenes with it finally happened. But let me get ba [...]

  8. This one didn t start off as my favorite, but I loved the bonus manga It starts off with a groper in the library Of course, Kasahara volunteers to take him on Soon after it s time for a test Kasahara and her fellow recruits are ready for a chance at a promotione only problem The requirement is to entertain a room full of kids with a book Both Tezuka and Iku are worried about the test, while Shibazaki seems to have a trick up her sleeve We then move on to a news story about a magazine article fro [...]

  9. Pretty heavy stuff in this one I wish she would stop making Marie a victim, but I suppose the reality of this particular case in the spotlight was impossible to ignore The promotional tests were cute though, and Tezuka really is filling out as a character This tension created between Kasahara and Dojo is silly though, because it really isn t sustainable Like Komaki, I m hoping for a resolution of some sort pretty soon I guess that s not how this works though.

  10. I am in love with this story and it s characters I did not like I would love this series as much as I am 3

  11. Kasahara Shibazaki are successful ensnaring the library creep the Task Force turns its attention to the upcoming exams for the rising corporals Kasahara, Tezuka Shibazaki all prepare for the skills test taking over the children s activities for an hour The prankster boys from issue 3 return to tell Kasahara their petition has lead to their favorite books being unbanned Which leads readers into another controversy at the Weekly New World An interview with a popular hot actor causes him to sue the [...]

  12. 4.5 5 Read at my blog, Geeky Reading Contains spoilers for previous volumes Strength in a time of crisis This is just so good The first chapter concludes where the last one ended, with the pervert and the Marie storyline Then we move onto a big one, where Iku and Tezuka and Shibazaki are taking the exams to move up to Sergeants Shibazaki isn t worried at all, Iku s worried about the written exam, and Tezuka is worried about the skill test This extends for a while Tezuka trains a little with Shi [...]

  13. I had totally forgot about this series until I was browsing manga on my local library s website the other day This series is a little predictable, but I still enjoy it and want Kasahara to find true love, whether or not that turns out to be her prince In this volume, Kasahara is acting as bait for a groper in the library, who felt up the deaf girl Marie Once the groper is caught, Marie is given a whistle to blow in an emergency Since finding out that Instructor Dojo is her prince , things have b [...]

  14. This volume focuses mostly on Kasahara s crush obsession of Instructor Dojo I actually love this It s cute and funny She gets flustered everytime she s around him She even gets this way, when she just hears someone saying his name Everyone else notices this, and thinks it s funny Dojo always acts like he doesn t notice, but I am sure he does I think he likes her almost as much as she likes him This volume also focuses on the tests required to move up in ranks This year s task is to read to child [...]

  15. There s a groper in the library and Library Force members Iku and Shibazaki are sent in as bait Iku s undercover outfit makes her vulnerablewill she be able to defend herself if the pervert targets her Later, Library Force members are required to take a test that involves reading stories to a group of rambunctious schoolkids Coming from a big, unruly family, Iku definitely has the upper hand The series continues Now Iku has survived the inquiry she and her group can focus on other things which n [...]

  16. Very good Although I already knew what was going to happen because of the anime, it was still great _ I do have a few qualms with it though. For starters, the way that the flashback scenes were presented made it overall very difficult to follow the story It was a little confusing And the plot seemed to be going by too quickly It didn t linger on any details it could have, which made the plot very bare and skeletal, as compared to how rich it could have been. Finally, now that Iku realizes that she [...]

  17. The part about the groper wasn t really interesting but after that, when Tezuka and Iku needs to train for their exam Well, that was funny The I read, the I like Tezuka It s way normal than Dojo. The end of the volume introduces a nice story about common words that are censored for no reason I have to admit that I ve read the first volumes so long ago that I forgot most of the details about the world building of this series So I don t exactly remember how it works it seems weird that people ar [...]

  18. If you haven t started reading Library Wars, don t start with this volume It picks up immediately from the events of volume eight and it took me a minute or two to remember what was happening However, I absolutely loved the middle section where they need to do a story hour for kids in order to get promoted and Hikaru completely freaks out I could relate to that because story time for kids who are mobile and can talk back and everything is scary as hell There was also some progress made in Iku s [...]

  19. If you re a shojo fan and you re not reading Library Wars, one of the star titles of the Shojo Beat imprint, then you are missing out on one heck of a series Nine volumes in and it s still the mixture of action and drama that has kept readers glued to the page, as well as the unresolved romantic tension that keeps shippers writing thousand word ship manifestos on Livejournal. You can read my complete review of LIBRARY WARS 9 at my blog, Nagareboshi Reviews nagareboshi reviews

  20. This was a fun volume following the adventures of the Library Forces After dealing with a lewd criminal, the rookies brace themselves for the written and skill tests to move up in ranks Iku is worried about the written portion, along with handling her tutor, Dojo also her crush And the stoic Tezuka worries about the skills dealing with kids He seems to be developing feelings for Shibazaki, who helped give him ideas for the upcoming test And finally civilians take action against the government on [...]

  21. I LOVE this series, glad they caught the perp but that was funny how she tried to take him down and it just got awkward Oh and the bonus Magna of dealing with her emotions and her supermega crush on Dojo, that was hilarious I enjoy this Magna, the characters are great, I love reading it to my daughter and talk about the political standpoints of this series and how it relates to today, she s 14 Always fun to read and I would love to see this in animae, it mentioned that it is in animae in Japan b [...]

  22. This book continues to cement its place as one of my favorite guilty pleasures While I m still not a huge fan of the romance, it is nice that it moves forward bit by bit but the characters oh the characters This volume sees them preparing for the vitally dangerous task of reaching to children It was so nice and so cute to see them in this new setting and with this new goal that I fell in love with them all over again And I love the real world idea of using the press and the courts to bring to li [...]

  23. Ahh, I m getting crazy with these, reading them in less than an hour I seriously love this story and the development of the characters How one character you hated at the beginning can become your favorite, and another you thought was super sweet shows their dark side I love the relationships too, friendly and romantic I just wish things would move along sometimes Oh well, I ll just keep reading and hope.

  24. This is my current favorite ongoing manga series I love the concept, and the way the issues with censorship are presented do not bog down the story It s a little action oriented than many shojo manga, but this suits both the plot and the combination of drama and comedy I love the characters The core cast is incredibly engaging, and their dynamics make for both great comedy and great drama I give it four out five stars.
