  1. I had not read the other two books in this series, but this one stands alone successfully Dylan Hoss is an interesting character, a man who went to prison for an act of violence that was understandable, if not wise He s strong and self confident enough to have worked out how to keep his safety and integrity within the jungle that is prison life, without bending too far And he s fortunate enough to have supportive family waiting for him on the outside When he s assigned a new cell mate, Joey, his [...]

  2. Those enamoured with protective males, this is the series for you.In the third book in the Uniformity series, Mr Stone features Dylan Hoss Dylan Hoss comes across as Nicolas Cage in Con Air The reason why Dylan is in prison is because he broke the law However, for many readers, his act is justified and readers may argue he shouldn t be imprisoned Dylan is a good man with ethics and fortunately a supportive family. The new cellmate, Joey Campbell, is a sweet boy and easy pickings for the rougher p [...]

  3. Please be aware that this book contains violence and a brief attempted rape scene I just found another great author Wow, what a story Stone had me on edge with suspense the whole time I was reading Recruited The development is surprising and intricate, making it impossible for me to guess what would happen The complexity in the plot is a huge wow factor for me there are so many twists and turns that caught me unaware My goodness, I was left in awe of Ethan Stone s mind and style. The story is inc [...]

  4. 4.5 I had a bit of reviewer s block concerning this book It is not a reflection on the book, far from it, just an explanation as to why it has taken so long to get the review written Some reviews come easily than others This book was an interesting read It did not go where I expected it to go, but I loved every minute of the ride Stone broke formula, both romance formula, and patterns he had set with the first two books in the Uniformity series Compromised and Damaged You, also, don t expect to [...]

  5. A Joyfully Jay review4.5 starsI m telling you guys right now, this author knows how to tell a story Here s the thing, the writing is a little tell than show, which I don t love, but the storyline makes up for it I went through an entire range of emotions while reading this story and then I was so happy with the way it ended It s a wonderfully layered, involved story from beginning to end When I started reading, I kept thinking that it would be a simple mystery romance But simple doesn t even co [...]

  6. This is book 3 of the Uniformity series Inmate Dylan Hoss is 7 years into a prison sentence when he meets his new cellmate, Joey Campbell Dylan is what they call gay for stay and gets confused when he develops actual feelings for Joey But then suddenly Joey disappears.Dylan is given new hope thanks to an early release He s gets a job working for Keegan Malloy a wealthy environmentalists Dylan is recruited for an FBI investigation into a series of bombings Then he gets a revelation that changed t [...]

  7. The romance was well wrought, the mystermy not THAT much even though I liked the plot twist view spoiler with Joey turning out a FBI agent hide spoiler though I suspected something along these lines right from the start, and I liked a lot how the two overcame the sense of betrayal.I liked the way the characters were drawn no histrionics, no contrived misunderstandings, those characters acted and talked like real people for the most part Refreshing and very enjoyable. The writing was taut, straigh [...]

  8. The best one of the series, I just loved Hoss I was hoping for his story after mention of him in books one and two It did not disappoint Hoss Joey are good together but Hoss stills the show for me

  9. It was a long weekend and this soap of a book fell threw the cracks I did like the MCs and the chemistry between them, the book was just really predictable.

  10. This book is an excellent addition to the Uniformity series I had a hard time putting it down, and it made me want to re read the entire series Highly recommended

  11. Had a hard time with the shift between the Joey I thought I knew in jail and then as he is on the outside A good book and a good series Nuff said.

  12. I did not know this was part of a series so I read out of order Was just a little confused as to the relationships around the MC but it did not diminish my enjoyment.
