  1. Yes, he s got a celebrity voice and will be appearing in Marvel Studio s next hit movie, Guardians of the Galaxy, out in less than a month Yes, he s also part of one of Marvel Comics biggest success stories last year, Brian Michael Bendis Guardians of the Galaxy comic But based on Skottie Young s first issue of Rocket Raccoon, even if none of that were happening, there still should ve been a Rocket Raccoon comic out YEARS ago because this first issue is an absolute blast, whether you know anythi [...]

  3. Continuing with my admiration and fangirl ing for the Guardians of the Galaxy, specifically Rocket and Groot, I started this comic after finishing Groot s I have to say that I m totally in love with everything here The story, the characters, the colors and most importantly, the art itself I just found about Skottie Young few days ago from pinterest cause as you can guess, I m pinning a lot of Guardians photos back there to use as my phone s wallpaper Rocket, one of the guardians, defender of the [...]

  4. I love Rocket and Groot This is the story of Rocket s quest to find out who is framing him for murder, and if there are of his species still alive It s funny, the art work is awesome, and it even throws in a bit of tugging at your heartstrings A great read.

  5. I don t pretend to be the world s biggest fan of comic books I appreciate the talent that goes into them, but until recently it just wasn t a culture that I participated in I watched and loved the Guardians of the Galaxy movie, especially Rocket, which came out of left field for me because I was skeptical of his very premise CYBORG RACCOON WITH GUNS THAT HANGS OUT WITH A TREE I liked that the character was a funny animal played for tragedy, which struck me as unusual, especially in a comedy The [...]

  6. I did not know anything about Guardians of the Galaxy prior to the movie Like most people, after having seen it, I was pretty fond of the team, especially of Rocket Raccoon So I really wanted to pick up that new comic book series about him, expecting pure madness and mayhem.Well, while the madness and mayhem are there, I feel like the first story arc did not deliver. It might be because I didn t read Guardians of the Galaxy before this comic, but the beginning was a little bit confusing to me and [...]

  7. I have to admit, I really enjoyed the Free Comic Book Day Rocket Raccoon one shot, so I picked this up in spite of some reservations about the art style I really liked the art team on the FCBD issue, and knew this one was different Thankfully all mis givings about the art were gone only a couple pages in Young has a great feel for the characters all the Guardians, not just Rocket as evidenced by snappy conversations, and his action sequences were easy to read The book takes itself just seriously [...]

  8. This is exactly the way a Rocket Raccoon story should go It is filled with witty dialog, absurd action and a vivid story in a heightened reality backdrop Skottie Young does an amazing job creating a narrative that is idyllic for such an absurd character while surprisingly keeping things grounded and accompanying the good story with fantastic art I wouldn t have expected less from the man who brought us x men babies and toddler avengers.

  9. A fun start to an interesting story arc involving Rocket and the other Guardians I feel there are questions than answers revealed in this issue One must ask who is the second raccoon and what do the ex girlfriends have in store for Rocket The art is very fun to follow and the dialogue is pretty spot on It was fun seeing pinky out grenade throwing and Groot getting the bark beaten out if him I will most likely pick up the next couple of issues of the series.

  10. Maravilloso primer n mero, muy divertido El dibujo es una pasada como no pod a ser de otra manera con Skottie Young No esperaba mucho la verdad, pensaba que no iba a ser mi estilo, pero me ha encantado.

  11. Got this in my Loot Crate this summer with a Loot Crate variant cover and really liked it, though I would have been less interested if I didn t enjoy GotG so much Nice beginning and I definitely want to read the whole series, but I ll be waiting until the trade comes out.

  12. I m not a big fan of Raccoon s sense of humor in this, and the ladies man angle isn t really endearing me The enemies introduced seem entertaining, and the Starlord bits were good, but it s not my thing It s too Three Stooges slapstick for me It was free with my Loot Crate so I gave it a shot.

  13. I loved this The art was fabulous and the story itself was funny and interesting Who doesn t love a witty and slightly womanizing racoon

  14. I really need to get the graphic novel that came out for this, because I only got to read this one, but the artwork is brilliant I loved this issue Scottie obviously does know, his work is amazing.
