  1. Now Boarding by Charles Vella is a relatable book about a young man seeking to find his place in the world Where it becomes unique is that Geoffrey finds himself in way over his head and getting far than he bargained for when he accepted the job Geoffrey was so excited about finding a job that felt like a real job, a grown up job that he didn t stop to think it through Didn t it seem just a little odd Accepting a sudden job, that pays cash, from a man who doesn t want you to visit his office an [...]

  2. Note I won this book in a First Reads GiveawayI really enjoyed the concept of this book and the framing of the character Geoffrey This was a very entertaining read, but I felt it lacked in the element of surprise The ready could easily figure out where the plot was heading steps before Geoffrey could draw any sense of a connection IfNow Boardingwas written from the perspective of Geoffrey, where the reader was fully emersed in the na ve, small town thought process of the main character, it would [...]

  3. This is an interesting story where the lead character, Geoffrey, is desperate for money, and he s approached by someone named Miles with an offer of an odd job, namely travel writing It quickly becomes apparent to the reader but not to Geoffrey that Miles is trying to hide someone s disappearance The story becomes increasingly surreal as the eccentric characters interact and Geoffrey becomes targeted by police as a murderer and by others as another victim For those who like quirky stories, this [...]

  4. I really enjoyed the concept of this book, but the characters ruined it for me Each character felt like a stereotype that was hyperbolized The main character is the innocent nerd of the story, but he is so naive, awkward, and ignorant that his actions seem ridiculous The plot was also driven by extreme assumptions and slippery slope fallacies that any believablity was lost.

  5. Be prepared for one heck of a wild ride Once you open this book you will have to finish it The naive Geoffrey gets involved with an oddball man who offers him a job The rest is jus absolutely zany.
